School Policy
Class Structure and Size
Class sizes are between 5 and 10 students, all at the same learning level. Ten students per class is our maximum.
How are classes set up during the year?
Students who enroll for the entire school year will have 32 two-hour sessions per class or 64 total hours of classroom instruction. EFDM鈥檚 school calendar takes into account holidays as well as various specially noted days according to the ISD rules including breaks and testing periods.
Why EARLY registration?
Early registration assures your child鈥檚 place in a class and gives us the opportunity to accommodate any special needs particular students may have especially when it comes to language levels.
Early registration allows us to provide parents with a schedule of any special events that we can plan provided a required level of participation.
An application and a $50 deposit per each student can be all made online. Should you decide NOT to enroll your child or if FULL PAYMENT is not received before the first day of classes, the $50 deposit is forfeited.
How do I apply?
Applications are accepted for the full year on an annual basis.
Class fees are due upon enrollment either as a single payment (or three equal payments payable at the time of enrollment, then on December 1st, and March 1st) online or by check mailed to :

Can I enroll my child during the school year?
We recommend that you register your child at the start of our school year. It may be possible (space and schedules permitting) to bring your child into a group during the school year and assist in their fit into the class.
Please contact our Head of Instruction in order to help determine at which level your child can be admitted.
Midterm admissions and costs will be determined on a prorated basis. A $50 per student registration fee will be charged for enrollments AFTER the start of the school term.
Can our family have a trial period ?
If you would like to have a trial period to see if our program is the right fit for your family, we offer a no cost program for a limited time. Contact the Head of Instruction for our EFDM class. You will still need to fill out an enrollment application for the trial period. After the trial period, if you decide to enroll for the rest of the year, click on the link below : Form
May we observe our child’s classes?
YES! But please note that the instructor must agree and know in advance.
We only ask that you make a reservation PRIOR to any class visits for observation purposes. Your observation is limited to 20 minutes and you may ONLY OBSERVE.
What is MY role?

EFDM鈥檚 role is to provide your child with a high level of French proficiency. We need your commitment to ensure regular attendance as well as serious study and participation efforts for the full school year.
What are the costs?
As a non-profit school, our goal is to provide high quality French lessons and instruction in an 麓 after school 陋 environment at a fair and reasonable cost and achieving lasting results.

Class Cancellations
Short term :
